I got my drivers license at the age of 17 and it was liberating until I had to run errands like go to the grocery store, take my sister to swimming class and drop my mother to work. But honestly it wasn’t a bother it gave me a sense of purpose. I can’t forget that forrest green Toyota Camry which was the first car I drove. When I was by myself I would blast my favorite reggae music as I drove aimlessly through the Bronx. Most of the time I didn’t have anywhere to go. But I enjoyed the freedom it gave me. On weekends I would visit my childhood friend in Brooklyn which was a fun change. Since then I have driven a range of different cars and when ever I do I still have to same feeling. When it’s me the open road and good music it’s so relaxing.
